Here’s a last minute variety for your cranberry dish this Thanksgiving–bake them! Baked cranberries are so delicious–the chewy, sugary texture is just so good! And the brandy is the perfect finishing touch. Make this the day before your Thanksgiving/holiday meal, pop it in the fridge and that’s one less thing you need to worry about!
- 1 pound fresh cranberries
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 4 tablespoons brandy
- 1/4 cup sugar
- Place berries in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Stir in sugar and water & blend. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Remove from oven and sprinkle with brandy and remaining sugar. Refrigerate and serve.
- This is delicious as is or you can experiment and add some of your favorites prior to baking--nuts, orange zest, etc.
