Attention Walmart shoppers: if you see these products in your local store, put them in your basket, head to the checkout, and run home & cook ’em up! I saw this brand on the end cap at my Walmart store and stopped to check ’em out and I’m so glad I did. This is basically an Indian scratch kit so you can make an authentic tasting Indian meal at home. If you like Indian food, but don’t know how to make it and going out for an authentic Indian meal is just not in your budget, this little kit, at $2.50 a pop is the answer!
First off, I think their packaging is fantastic–I can see what I’m getting. It’s not shut up in a box. The two flavors that I’ve tried so far come complete with a flavor coating for the chicken, real herb & spices and a simmering sauce. Second, I love the simplicity-everything’s in there (except the chicken) and it couldn’t be easier–3 easy steps and ready in about 20 minutes. We had the Chicken Tikka Masala last night. You flash fry the herbs and spices first for a couple of seconds in oil and then you drop in the chicken, coated in the ginger garlic sauce and brown on all sides. Next, pour in the sauce, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes. That’s it. And finally, the flavor is fantastic. Charlie and I both love Indian food-it’s a flavor we’re constantly craving and this satisfied completely. We put in over some cooked basmati rice and added a green vegetable and some naan bread. Delicious!
This little kit gives you a unique dinner for your family with very little time or money invested and without sacrificing any flavor. They’ve got plenty of other flavors at Walmart and you can bet I’ll be trying them all. Talk about an easy and really great meal for busy families on a budget. Plus, their U.S. offices are right here in Tennessee! I wander if they give tours…and free samples???
